Lakeview is proud to announce that Lilamae Frank has been named a Class A Scholar-Athlete Award Winner by the Michigan High School Athletic Association through the MHSAA/Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete Award program! Lilamae is one of just 32 student-athletes statewide to earn a $2,000 scholarship, recognizing excellence in academics (3.5+ GPA), athletics, leadership, and sportsmanship. A four-sport standout in cross country, basketball, soccer, and track & field, Lilamae has earned all-state honors, city championships, and qualified for multiple MHSAA Finals. Beyond athletics, she’s a DECA state champion, National Honor Society member, show choir section leader, theater participant, and award-winning member of our school television network. She will attend Ball State University to study sports media and broadcasting. As Lilamae shared in her award-winning essay: "Character is worth way more than any medal or trophy… I will forever be the person who reaches out their hand to help lift others up."
