Jay Hamric has been nothing short of phenomenal this season as the #1 Singles player and captain of the Lakeview Tennis team. With an impressive 15-7 overall record and a strong 6-3 mark in the challenging SMAC conference, Jay has consistently demonstrated skill, determination, and leadership. Jay’s standout victories include clinching the All-City tournament title, firmly establishing himself as Battle Creek’s top high school tennis player. His competitive spirit shone through at major events, winning his flight at the Jenison Invitational and earning runner-up finishes at both the Mason and Allegan Invitationals. As the team eyes their 4th consecutive state tournament appearance, Jay is gearing up for critical upcoming matches, including the regional competition on October 9th. His relentless work ethic and on-court toughness have been the driving force behind the Spartans success this season.
