Spartan Pride runs deep! Spartan Nation is rolling out the red carpet to honor five absolute legends of Lakeview athletics. Mark your calendars for Friday, September 25, 2026, as Lakeview High School officially inducts the Class of 2026 into the Athletic Hall of Fame! From state championships and school records to Big Ten and professional competition, these five phenomenal student-athletes represent the standard of Spartan excellence: Jacob Herbers (’15): A triple-threat force in soccer, football, and baseball, Herbers went on to excel at the University of Minnesota as a two-sport athlete, Big Ten punter, and standout scholar-athlete. Anna Moore (’15): A trailblazing record-breaker in the pool, Moore became the first woman in Lakeview history to break the 1-minute barrier in the 100 backstroke before building a championship NCAA career at Albion College. Landon Osborne (’13): A master of the links, Osborne fired a legendary school-record 67, earned MIGCA Super Team honors, and brought his talents to Northern Kentucky University. John Vann (’15): One of the most decorated swimmers in Michigan high school history, Vann captured three individual State Championships, earned All-American honors, and served as team captain at Florida State University. Andrew Walker (’16): A three-time Michigan "Mr. Golf" and two-time State Champion, Walker starred at Michigan State University before taking his game to the professional ranks on the APGA Tour and earning a PGA Tour exemption.
